Artist Spotlight: John Alexander Ericson

John Alexander Ericson is the brother of Alberta Cross frontman Petter Ericson.  Their voices differ about as much as their music.  John plays a much quieter form of rock that uses synths, acoustic guitars, and piano instead of loud fuzzy guitars.  Some of his biggest influences are P.J Harvey and David Bowe, and it really comes out in his music.  The soft electronica base really compliments his soft soothing voice.  Together it forms a light airy atmosphere perfect for those who like minimalism with vocals.

John Alexander is a busy man who is very involved in the music scene.  Ericson has worked with Alberta Cross, his project by the name Northern Territories, and four solo albums as John Alexander Ericson.  he is definitely an artist if you connect with there will be a ton of music to catch up on.  Listen
